Andrea Bowling, LMHCA

Andrea Bowling, LMHCA, is a licensed clinical mental heath counselor, with a master’s degree in counseling from the University of the Cumberlands, in Williamsburg, KY. Andrea’s experience includes working with children, adolescents, and adults with mental health and/or addiction disorders. She is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing, all with a person-centered and trauma-focused perspective.

Andrea especially enjoys doing group therapy, and employs a mindfulness-based approach to her therapeutic work. Andrea studied philosophy during her bachelor’s degree training and uses her own mindfulness practice as the basis of her work with clients struggling with addictions. Andrea also has a strong clinical interest in complimentary therapeutic modalities such as horticultural and art therapy, which serve to add interest and perspective to her groups.

Andrea is a veteran of the U.S Army and enjoys traveling, gardening, and spending time with her husband, 3 dogs, and adult children during her free time.
